The Surfaces here are generated by a different method than the algebraic surfaces. This opens the possibility to display surfaces which are described by non-algebraic equations or by algebraic equations which cannot be solved with the usual methods. So far, I have only a few images of this type!
In this method, a function is calculated at regular grid positions in the considered volume. The isosurface algorithm (like the contour method in a plane) then searches numerically for all points which have a given function value. The set of those points defines a surface in the given volume. Programming language Matlab is used here to perform the calculations and image rendering.
